Make a budget.

Do it yourself.
This can be applied to almost anything! For example, make your own lunches and coffees instead of buying them out. Or, do simple DIY tasks such as painting yourself, instead of hiring someone to do it for you. Making these small switches soon add up!

…by selling things you no longer want. Check out sites such as eBay to sell unwanted items from clothes to cars, so you can make money out of your old things, as well as creating extra space in your home.
Consider switching bank accounts.
See if you can switch to a bank account that offers you a better interest rate. Most banks also offer perks such as vouchers or cash for switching to them, so you can take advantage of these too.
Plan and stick to a shopping list.
Plan your meals for the week and create a shopping list in advance of your food shop. Try to stick to this while at the shops! You will soon find that you’re not only saving money, but also reducing your food waste!
Quit expensive habits.
If you’re spending a lot of money on habits such as smoking or buying a coffee every day, consider cutting down or quitting them. Often, you will also get some health benefits from this as well as saving money every day!
When making purchases such as household appliances or electronics, shop around both online and in-store to get the best deal, in order to save some cash, even on necessities. For example, use an insurance broker to search for the best deals on all your cover needs. That could be life insurance, buildings and contents insurance, or any protection product.
Cancel subscriptions and memberships.
Whether this is a gym membership or a magazine subscription, make sure you cancel anything that you’re not making full use of, for an easy way to save a little money each month.
